Day 2 - promoting the promoter :)

Time to build some backlinks to the " first ring " properties around the main site. All I do here is point to the supporting sites - I don't link to the main site - The web 2.0 properties I think can absorb the quick linking much better.

First property to be promoted is going to be the tripod blog .

Created accoutn on mania.com ( they also have a blog section in addtion to the profile section )

Plan for the day is to find at least 10 more places like this and point 'em to the tripot property - then repeat the same thing for all the others. Then bookmark - rss feed submission etc.

Day 2 Stats update - record indexing

The blog post I wrote earlier got indexed in record time. Not surprised since the Google spider now comes by every couple of minutes ( or so it seems :) )

Day 2 - wetpaint property

That took way longer than anticipated. For some reason the " link function " in wetpaint 'easy edit' would load. Tried in Firefox,Opera and Chrome . Finally had to resort to IE ( yikes ) :)

Anyway - again I marked the different links again.

( clicking on the image should get the full view - I still haven't figured out that part yet with blogger )

Day 2 - Tripod Created and Link structure

Just created tripod blog ; and a screen shot how I am linking my properties. Besides the quest to get backlinks I always include a direct link to the merchant as well. ( btw I have no idea why tripod decided to make that link yellow - It won't let me change it either :( )

and of course I get another rss feed - to be put in friendfeed,feedage,feedagg,yahoo pipes

Day 2 - added more feeds to Friendfeed

Opps - last night forgot to add all my feeds from hub and squidoo to my friendfeed account; done now. This is becoming an exercise in staying organized :)

Day 2 - First Blog Post on Main site and new plugin

with the datafeedr pluin running on this site , there a basically 2 sides existing. One is the datafeed and the other one is a regualr blog. So this post is the first regular blog posting.

The whole puprose here was to get the site spidered a little better. The images and the titles link back to the individual products.

Alos installed another plugin called " rss footer " ; it will put a message at the end of every post saying something like : ' via .. ' and provide alink back. So they more the feed gets scraped the better :)
